So, it gets pretty hot up here. This area is the tip of the Sonora Desert, and it's been 95+ for the past few weeks. I don't deal with the heat very well, and we recently bought the means to cool us off, i.e. a kiddie pool.
BRADON LIKES IT
But a kiddie pool isn't the only thing to jump in around here when you want to cool off. When Holly, Steven, and AJ came up for the 4th of July, we took a trip to Palmer Lake. Kids and dogs alike - yes, even the biggest kids of all - can't resist the cool water on a hot day. Bradon ran straight in, to the point where he couldn't touch and I had to fish him out.
Come Here, Dog!
That's right. Big kids, too.

Oh, here's one quick, flattering picture of Holly and her boy, AJ.

Catching Up...
I know it's been a while since I last posted. I guess it's time to catch everyone up on what has been going on.
Let me start with Ol' Bradon. The boy got his first haircut. He did great, and looks pretty good.
This Ain't No Thang...
No more curly locks.
Madison has done two weeks of swimming lessons. She had a lot of fun with it, and surprised me when we went to Palmer Lake on July 5 by just running headlong into the water. She couldn't get enough.

The Boys Say Hi
And We All Love Ice Cream
We all had a good July 4. I had to work, but Steven, Holly, and AJ came up to visit for a few days. It was good to see them. Emily came up with them, and she's staying for a few weeks. She's got her learner's permit and has been begging us to let her drive. I've never feared for my life more than when she's in the driver's seat.
Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well. I'll try not to let so much time go between posts.
